Bit of a chill in the air this morning... harbinger of late summer and all the excitement of a new school year to come...
We love these liminal moments, minutes on the cusp of each season when so much has happened and yet, still
such possibility stretches before us...

There's no better time to reflect on what's fleeting, what's remaining... and hey,
we're happy for any reason to celebrate this sunny Friday afternoon getting to know the new AU PAIR.
Pull up a chair and stay a while!

Walla Walla Distilling Company AU PAIR:

3 slices of delicious almost-over-ripe sweet d'Anjou pear
2 oz. of WALLA WALLA Distilling Company WHITE WHISKY
1-4 oz of Ginger Ale (depending upon whether you're sipping tall or short)
stirred with a sprig of late summer mint

Muddle a handful of fresh blueberries and a local peach with juice of 1/2 a lemon and a dash of simple syrup (or a spoonful of sugar); add ice to fill glass, spike with 2 shots of WALLA WALLA DISTILLING COMPANY WHITE WHISKY, fizz to taste with seltzer (or 7-up for sweetness), toss in a couple of slices of lemon. Swirl. Sip...

Thanks to the good people at Frazier Farms and the Port of Walla Walla, our bins are full of golden grain
for another spirited harvest!  Nothing like amber waves as far as the eye can see right out our windows...
